Sunday ended our 7-day Green Smoothie Challenge, and Bob and I were actually a bit disappointed it was over. We would both love to have these EVERY day, as it’s the perfect afternoon snack. Being back to work full-time makes it more difficult. However, we will continue to enjoy these as often as we can!
On the last day, I decided to try something new with our smoothie: orange! I loved this. Bob’s favorite is still the Berry Coconut, but he did say it was a nice change.
Orange Creamsicle (Green) Smoothie
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1/4 c. plain greek yogurt
- 1/2 t. vanilla extract
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 c. water
- 6 ice cubes
- 1 handful of spinach
Blend and enjoy! Cheers!
I would think you could replace the protein powder with more greek yogurt and/or ice, if you prefer.
By the way, I also made a slight variation of my apple pie smoothie on Saturday, by adding a handful of pitted cherries. Oh my, that was delicious!
Any favorite smoothie recipes out there? When they are back in season, I’d like to try a mango smoothie next!
