When traveling, I do not like trusting that I will find food I like on the road (or in the air). Whether I’m heading west to my beloved Colorado, taking a long weekend to visit my parents or attending a fabulous Blend Retreat, there are a few “must-haves” that I never forget.« Continue »
Three weeks until summer break!! I can barely contain all my excitement. This school year went by very quickly, but I’m also in need of some rest and relaxation before beginning another semester.« Continue »
If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you have “met” my friends, Marla and Jeff. We get together for cooking experiments (aka M²T³ Events), apple picking, and visiting Chicagoland restaurants. Jeff is the mastermind behind my blog’s design/theme, and the two of them are ultra-talented photographers.« Continue »
I am so excited that May is here! I feel as if summer is finally within reach, and I cannot wait. There will be more time for traveling, cooking, relaxing, time with Shazam and social shenanigans! « Continue »
Where did my spring break go?!? Chicago didn’t provide much warm weather, but I’m hoping today and tomorrow finally get us in to the 50′s. That would at least finish spring break on a good note. « Continue »
Spring Break is officially here! I’m excited to relax, spend some time catching up on chores at home, and cross a few minor things off my to-do list. « Continue »
I’m excited for the weekend, but definitely have a lot on my plate! Along with the usual running around (yoga class, grocery shopping and meal prep), I am taking my final test to earn certification as a health coach, fulfilling my supervision assignment at the school where I teach, and setting aside time to enjoy the Academy Awards ceremony. Whew! The weekend is jam-packed!
Happy Friday!! I’m so excited to have a three-day weekend ahead of me. *sigh* I can tell it’s going to be wonderful to have that extra day off.« Continue »
I needed to make this list for myself. To remind myself of what to do in order to overcome this bone-chilling weather. It’s cold around here! Here’s this week’s Friday’s Five:« Continue »
Happy Friday! I’m off to Florida for the long weekend! Bob and I will be vacationing with my parents until Monday, and we cannot wait. This little trip comes at a perfect time, as temperatures around here have really dropped lately. But before I go, here’s my weekly round-up:« Continue »
I took a few days off of blogging this week in order to unplug and spend quality time with my family. Bob and I went to the church I grew up in (near where my parents live) for Christmas Eve mass, and then spent the night at my parent’s house. We enjoyed a decadent Christmas Eve dinner and went driving to see Christmas lights before heading to bed. « Continue »
Yipee!! I made it to Winter Break! I cannot express how excited I am to have some down-time. It is much needed.
This past week was awfully busy, but here are a few highlights.« Continue »
How is it December . . . . tomorrow!?! Christmas is going to be here before I know it. Eek—I have a lot to do yet! But Bob and I did make time this past week to put up or Christmas lights, decorations and our tree!« Continue »
I don’t know about you, but the first thing I wanted to do this morning was get up and get moving! Yesterday’s Thanksgiving meal was so delicious, that I know I was more than well-fueled for a great workout this morning! So that’s exactly what I did.« Continue »
When I started Eat Move Balance in June, I had no idea the impact it would have on me. I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy writing posts, I wasn’t sure I’d have readers, and I wasn’t sure if it was a silly thing to pursue in the first place. I was nervous.« Continue »
I hope everyone had a great week, and that you’re looking forward to the weekend! I know I am.
